Top 6 Grocery Tips For Mommies – Save More Money

As a mom, handling the household finances is one of the toughest things to do. Though, it is also the most important part of being a mother. My husband and I tackle every part that needs to be allotted some cash is very essential. We, mommies have the responsibilities to budget  the monthly income and expenses and almost 50% of the expenses goes to the monthly bills and another 50% goes to the grocery shopping or buying the needs of our kids and for the whole family. It is just as important to focus on how we can get more out of our money through this kind of spending.

Even though, grocery shopping can be pricey, but there are ways how we can save even while shopping at different shopping mall in the Philippines. Here are some of my grocery tips and hoping it would help to every mommies out there.

1. Choose the shopping malls supermarket or grocery store that offers the lowest prices. This is the best way how we can save money when grocery shopping. Finding which one has the lowest rates could be highly beneficial.

2. Make a list before going to the supermarket. I usually make a list before going to the supermarket  and trying my best to stick with it. When shopping for household necessities, there are definitely a number of more important things to get. By making a list it will help us easily visualize how much we need for the entire week or days it depends on the usages. Anything that isn’t on the list is also probably something I don’t really have to buy, so I make sure to make a comprehensive list of the top things I have to get and make sure to stick with it.

3. Do not go shopping when hungry. I think this may seem like one of the most ridiculous grocery tips ever, but studies actually show that shopping when hungry will make us more prone to buying more. So, to avoid this, make sure to fill yourself up first before hitting the supermarkets.

4. Advisable to use the right size of a cart or basket. If I’m only buying a couple of things, I skip the big cart. The space will tempt us to get more things, which is not friendly to the budget.

5. It is important to get the top priority items first. Supermarkets and grocery stores are usually designed to have the most important and frequently bought items in the same area, so going through that area and getting the items you need there first could also be very helpful. This will help us to avoid filling our cart with the not-so-important items first.

6. Lastly, be observant when shopping. This is the most important especially if we’re doing the grocery with the family. If we don’t pay attention to our cart, everyone will just sneak in items and have you deal with an overblown bill later on.

I hope that these grocery tips would help you mommies  to find a ways to save even while doing the grocery.

He started out really small, with just a two-outlet ice cream parlor in Manila. When he decided to expand his ventures, he decided to copy the model of companies like McDonald’s or Wendy’s. Tony Tan knew that he cannot compete with such global brands, but he still made it a point to develop his name and brand.
